One of the most significant presentations at the congress was delivered by Professor Alireza Zali, the Chief Neurosurgeon of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He shared Iran’s experience in combating oncological diseases and offered practical recommendations for improving the system of cancer diagnosis and treatment in Tajikistan.
Professor Alireza Zali spoke highly of the achievements in Tajikistan’s healthcare sector over the 35 years of the country’s state independence. He highlighted that, during this period, modern medical institutions equipped with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic technology have been established. According to the professor, the introduction of new diagnostic methods—including modern radiology—the development of comprehensive surgical care, and the training of local specialists all demonstrate the state’s ongoing commitment to the health of its population. He noted that Tajikistan currently possesses genuine potential for equitable and mutually beneficial scientific and medical cooperation.
At the same time, the professor emphasized the need for the implementation of modern technologies, the professional development of medical personnel, and the launch of joint scientific projects.
